You don't have to leave the campsite to relax. Domein Groot Besselink there is plenty to do. Take for example a wonderfully refreshing dip in the river Berkel. Or enjoy a delicious lunch on Esther's terrace.
And do you find yourself healthy and fit feel important? Then visit our fitness room, followed by a warming sauna session. Finish in the ice-cold plunge pool and experience the tingling-fresh feeling of your body completely resetting.

Domein Groot Besselink is the first campsite in the Netherlands where the entire site is smoke-free!
At Domein Groot Besselink we attach great importance to a healthy, clean and fresh environment.
That is why we have chosen to make our site completely smoke-free. This means that you will not encounter cigarette smoke anywhere within the domain - a unique and conscious choice that we are proud of.
Entire campsite is smoke-free, a big plus for us
Very nice and quiet campsite. We were with the camper and our dog. Beautiful spacious places. Entire campsite non-smoking, a big plus for us. Pleasant reception, nice atmosphere. Beautiful surroundings for walking and cycling. Almost on the Berkel, so water recreation is also possible. Easy to drive to via beautiful tree-lined avenues. Very clean sanitary facilities, good waste disposal facilities. Absolute top.
A gem among the campsites
A gem among the campsites. Super nice clean sanitary facilities. Electricity you pay afterwards based on use. In the area many walking and cycling routes. At 15 minutes cycling several villages such as Zutphen and Lochem. But also Almen is already nice with a Museum and a great restaurant. Large Spacious places with water and drainage. The places are equipped with grass, 1 part of which is paved. In the summer a nice terrace and in the winter Eco homes for rent.
Really a big domain... Beautiful place
We, my husband and I and our dog Tess, camped in April 2023 at a beautiful spot on the Berkel. Then we saw that there are three beautiful eco-homes for rent.
I immediately thought: I'm going to enjoy a weekend there with my daughter. So I booked a weekend in October 2024... We just got back, and it was fantastic! I can't think of anything that wasn't present in the beautiful house. And what a view from the beautiful, light house... Wonderful! What a party 🥳 to spend a weekend here.
The camping spots and the eco-homes will definitely stay in my mind. The lovely people who run this Domain are very friendly!
Achterhoekers are relaxed and friendly, which contributes to a pleasant holiday
Very neat, luxurious and quiet campsite in a beautiful environment. There is the possibility to rent a cottage or chalet, have a group BBQ or use the sauna. The prices are reasonable. Large camping pitches with 16 amps of electricity, water and sewer on the spot. Good and fast internet (free).
The campsite is located on the Berkel, where you can swim and canoe. Excellent base for walking and cycling tours in the beautiful surroundings. Zutphen and Deventer are around the corner, and Vorden, Lochem and Ruurlo can be reached quickly by bike. Also the possibility for yoga or contemplation sessions. Achterhoekers are relaxed and friendly, which contributes to a nice holiday.

Did you know that it was not the intention to start a campsite? In the meantime, we are incredibly happy and especially proud that we did take that step 8 years ago.
The best thing about having a campsite is that we can share this place that is so dear to us with like-minded people. Here you can relax. And you are invited to feel the harmony of nature again.
